I miss my summer vacations, that excitement of visiting Nani ghar.

Chapter 1: The Magic of Nani's Stories

Summer vacations were a time of pure joy and excitement, especially when it meant a visit to Nani Ghar. The afternoons were spent lounging under the sprawling trees in her courtyard, the air filled with the sweet scent of ripe mangoes. But the true magic happened when Nani began to weave her tales.

Her stories were more than just words; they were a journey to a different time and place. Sitting there, munching on mango slices that tasted even sweeter with Nani's love, we were transported to a world of her childhood adventures. Each story was a treasure, filled with lessons and laughter, painting a vivid picture of a time gone by.

But it wasn't all fairy tales and happy endings. As the sun dipped below the horizon, Nani's stories took a darker turn. Her horror tales, spun with such vivid imagination, left us both terrified and thrilled. We would huddle together, begging for just one more story, even though we knew it meant a sleepless night ahead. The terror was real, but so was the bond it forged between us.

Chapter 2: Starry Nights and Secret Whispers

One of the most enchanting aspects of my summer vacations at Nani's house was the nights spent on the terrace. Under a canopy of stars, my cousins and I would lay side by side, the cool breeze whispering through the trees, providing a soothing backdrop to our late-night conversations.

These moments were special, not just because of the beauty of the night sky, but because of the closeness we shared. Wrapped in blankets, we would whisper our dreams and secrets into the night, our voices low to avoid waking the adults. It was in these quiet, intimate moments that our bonds were strengthened. The stars above seemed to listen to our whispered hopes, creating a sense of magic and wonder that only childhood can hold.

Sleeping so close together that not even a whisper of wind could pass between us, we felt safe and connected. These nights were more than just a time to rest; they were a sanctuary of togetherness and love. The terrace, under the starry sky, became a place where dreams were shared and friendships deepened, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts.

Chapter 3: The Irreplaceable Joy of Nani Ghar

Nani Ghar during summer vacations was a place where time seemed to slow down. From the first step into her home, the warmth and aroma of home-cooked meals greeted us, promising days filled with delicious indulgence.

Every corner of Nani's house held a memory. The courtyard, where we played endless games of hide and seek; the kitchen, where the tantalising smell of homemade sweets would draw us in; and the living room, where family gatherings meant hours of laughter and stories. It was where we learned about our heritage through her stories and where we forged bonds with our cousins that would last a lifetime.

However, as the end of summer approached, a sense of sadness would begin to creep in. The thought of leaving Nani Ghar and returning to our daily routines filled our hearts with a longing for just a little more time. We wished the summer vacations could stretch just a bit longer, enough for more stories, more laughter, and perhaps another visit from our beloved Mamu.

Packing our bags was always bittersweet. The house that was so full of life would soon feel empty without our playful chatter and laughter. Saying goodbye to Nani was the hardest part. Her warm hugs and tear-filled eyes mirrored our own emotions, making it difficult to let go.

As we drove away, we would look back at Nani standing at the gate, waving until we were out of sight. The journey back home was often quiet, each of us lost in our own thoughts, already counting down the days until the next summer vacation.

Nani Ghar was, and always will be, the heart of our childhood, a place where magic happened every single day.
